Translation & Localization, tied directly into layout.
Language should not become a barrier to communicating knowledge across the globe. We offer translation of text in 70+ languages — general translation from one language to another, academic translation of books and distance-learning notes, and product manuals. Our national and global language experts take special care of each client's audience, translating global content into regional content and vice-versa, so clients reach a wider audience in their own language.

Challenges Faced by Publishers Today
The digital revolution has affected print publishers over the past two decades. Audiences are shifting to digital platforms and interactive content, while production and print costs, changing customer preferences and new media technology reshape the industry. Publishers consistently name three top challenges:
Margin & Cost Pressures
Coping with rising production and print costs while protecting margins.
Adapting to New Technology
Keeping pace with new publishing platforms, tools and reader expectations.
Value-Added Services
Layering value-added services onto existing content offerings.

What Goes Into a DTP Project
Desktop publishing covers a wide range of individual tasks. Here's what each one actually involves, so you know exactly what you're getting when you send us a manuscript.
Typesetting
Typesetting is the process of arranging translated or edited text, images, tables and captions into a finished page layout that matches your house style or original design intent. We work chapter-by-chapter or page-by-page depending on the source, keeping paragraph styles, running heads, footnotes and cross-references consistent across hundreds of pages.
For multilingual projects, typesetting also means handling text expansion or contraction — German text can run 20% longer than English, while Chinese can be far more compact — without breaking your layout grid.
Indexing
A good index is what turns a reference book from readable into genuinely useful. Our indexers build subject and name indexes by hand, cross-referencing related terms and ensuring page numbers stay accurate through every round of revision before final print.
Cover Design
Your cover is the first thing a reader judges. We design covers that fit your imprint's visual identity while standing out on a shelf or a thumbnail-sized online store listing, delivered print-ready with correct bleed, spine width and barcode placement.
Proofreading
A dedicated proofreader checks the final typeset pages against the edited manuscript, catching typos, spacing errors, widows and orphans, and inconsistent styling that automated tools miss — the last line of defence before a file goes to press.
Copyediting
Beyond typos, our copyeditors check grammar, consistency of terminology, style-guide compliance (Chicago, APA, or your own house style) and factual cross-references, so the finished book or document reads cleanly from cover to cover.
Quality Check (QC)
Every project passes through a structured QC checklist before delivery — font embedding, image resolution, colour space, page count, pagination and file integrity — so what lands in your inbox is genuinely print-ready or publish-ready, not something you need to re-check yourself.

We work directly with InDesign, QuarkXPress, PageMaker and Word source files, as well as scanned or PDF-only documents that need to be rebuilt from scratch. If you're not sure what format your files are in, send them over and we'll confirm.
A straightforward 100-page manuscript typically takes 5-10 working days depending on complexity, language pairs and revision rounds. Larger academic or STM titles with heavy tables and equations take longer — we'll give you a firm timeline once we've reviewed your file.
